A month in Panama has come and went, and just like that, it's time to move on.
I've never felt so bittersweet about leaving a country as I do right now. Between all the wonderful people I've met here, to the beautiful sights and experiences in the little sliver of the country I've seen, Panama has been nothing short of a big surprise. I truly look forward to the next time I can visit, and hope it will be sooner rather than later.
As to what's next? The biggest chapter yet of this expedition - sailing over 4,000 miles west to Nuku Hiva, situated in the Marquesas archipelago, French Polynesia. We hope to make landfall in as short as 24 days, but 28 or even 30 days would not be unusual. We've spent the week preparing the boat and provisioning, and tying the last loose ends while here in Marina La Playita.
As we will be thousands of miles away from land, I greatly appreciate your patience as this blog will sit untouched for the time being. But, worry not - I will be writing about the journey with daily entries and photos to go along, updating this blog of the adventure as soon as we make landfall. See you on the other side!
