52 weeks, and what a wild ride it’s been. I’d like to thank each and every one of you for following along.
362 days, three major ocean crossings and over 12,000 miles, and the time has come for this chapter of my life to close. This half of the world started in Ireland, and thus will end in Raiatea, Society Islands, French Polynesia.
I have yet to know well what the future holds for me, but stay tuned as I begin the next big adventure!

The sunset streaks through the clouds

Palm trees line the road that wraps around the island

The deep green foliage of Taha’a contrasts sharply with the clear ocean blue

A hibiscus flower, widely common along French Polynesia’s volcanic islands from the Marquesas to the Societies

A water reservoir inland, with broad peaks in the background

Seeing where the path leads me

A friendly island dog comes out to greet me on my walk around Taha’a

Uniquely home to many vanilla producers, this island is peppered with small farms shaded by mesh from the harsh sunlight

One last, spectacular sunset to bid me farewell
